Sturdy blue-green cloth covered boards, with the title imprinted in silver on the spine and front cover boards. Dustcover binding is torn, slight toning on paste down and FFEP.

Dr. Mees was Vice President of Research and Development at Kodak from just after WWII until his retirement in 1955. This, his last book, reviews the scientific process behind photography, including research in Sensitometry, emulsions, processing of 8mm and 16mm films, the development of motion picture film, sound recording, Microfile systems, X-Ray research, and the various methods of printing.
